Event Feature: SMU Spring end of term event
SMU is another one of our regular clients that often have corporate events for their students. In this case, this event was for spring 2018’s end of term event. This is a 2 days event that took place in SMU over the 11th and 12th of April.
So exactly what was so special about this event?
This was a last-minute booking and we only had a lead time of 2 days to prepare for the event. Usually, it takes us about 2 weeks to prepare for an event because artwork for the backdrop and photo template has to be designed and approved. However, in this case, we only had 2 days to work everything out.
Thankfully, SMU had already prepared a sample photo template for us. The only problem was that it was not in the right specifications. This is what their initial design looked like.
This was great because they had already decided on the look and the overall design of the template and they also knew that they wanted a polaroid sized picture. Since we had this, we could pluck out the design elements and drop it into our polaroid working file and we ended up with 2 designs. One landscape and one portrait design.
In the end, they chose the portrait style. The only thing left to decide was the backdrop. Initially, the plan was to use the same backdrop for both days. However, after the first day, they decided that they wanted a change in the backdrop so that it clearly shows 2 different days. This was not a problem because the backdrop was not in use on that day and we ended up with 2 sets of great looking pictures.
The event went smoothly and was a great success. Selfiebox is able to accommodate last minute plans just as long as everything is available.
